Working with Young People

During construction, Vattenfall UK ran a youth project with the Rural Youth Voice Project to involve young people in the development of the project and the community fund. They embarked on a tour of local schools and villages in the "Chill Out Bus" and established the Youth Focus Group to give young people in the area a chance to have their ideas for the Community Fund heard. The group came to site during the construction of the wind farm to see the turbine components up close and learn more about renewable energy.

Weather and climate change were the themes for a flag competition the local schools participated in. The winning children were lucky enough to see their flags and a giant nacelle being delivered on a site visit during construction.
